It’s the first game of the season so punters will be eager to get involved. With all of the hype coming into the 2020 NRL season, the Parramatta Eels are sure to see plenty of action, and deservedly so. They’re up against a Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs outfit that finished 16th in scoring last season. The Dogs attack is unlikely to improve much in 2020 either.
The Eels have regularly run up points and Bankwest Stadium and look good to do the same in front of a sold-out crowd in Round 1. Mitchell Moses carries strong form into the start of this season while Dylan Brown is finally healthy after struggling through his rookie year. Behind a pack that should dominate the centre-third, Parramatta have plenty of points in them. Don’t be fooled by Canterbury’s strong finish to 2019. They did the same in 2017 and 2018 before winning just two of their first nine games the following season.
