Freo continue to rack up the wins this season and find themselves one game outside of the top four. A dominant final quarter against Port, where they held their opponents scoreless, ensured they got up by 21 points after being down a point at three-quarter time. Michael Walters was once again the match winner, booting six goals and having 25 touches.
They travel to Melbourne to play a Demons side down on its luck and surely out of the picture for finals. Prior to their bye, Melbourne was thumped by 41 points on Queen’s Birthday against the Pies. The red and blue have lost four in a row to sit at 3-9 on the season.
The Dockers’ record at the MCG since 2015 isn’t horrible at 5-5 and they did upset Collingwood as five goal underdogs just a month ago. The Wolf is struggling to understand how the Dees are favourites on current form, with Fremantle more than capable of beating one of the competition’s worst sides, so it’s Freo all the way in this one.
